I loved it...

I have always loved the strip but this was real creativity from Scott. It did remind me of first year's programming project where everyone was so big on creating some sort of game. But i really laughed aloud reading this one.

And here comes the typical office pun (though very true) from Scott:

Driving... I am never tired...

What excites me most about travelling? There are no two choices. Of course, it is driving. I have had fun driving in all parts of the world. And today, I got this idea of putting down my memorable cars that I have driven over last 3 years or so.

Merc E220

This has to be the starting point. Drove around 2500 Km in Europe on this beauty. And how can I forget 225 Kmph I clocked on A3 in Germany.

New Avante

Second favorite on my list is New Avante (Elantra in India - new version is not yet launched here). Took it around Korea and it was really smooth. One of the more stable cars which I drove on great Korean mountain drives.

Next on my list is Hyundai Sonata V6 which I drove from Dallas to Houston. It was a long boring drive as it has to be in US. But I really liked the car as it felt so nice. The best part about it was the effortless pickup.

GM Tosca/ Chevorlet Epica

Tosca is one of the latest cars I drove in Korea. It is a grand car. Known as Epica in rest of the world, it was a car which gives you a feel of driving something really big. Or maybe it was the impact of me getting used to my dear Alto.

GM Daewoo Lacetti (Chevorlet Optra)

Next on my list is the car which I drove for longest period of time. I must have driven more than 20,000 Km on this. I can never forget the musical rides in the Korean mountains. It has been very reliable car in snow, rains and fog. It is better known as Optra in India.

Here are some other cars which I have tried on my short trips:

Merc A150

This was a nice hatchback from Mercedes stable which I drove around in the concentration camp at Frankfurt. Very cute and it had pretty much the same interface as an E class or C class inside.

Ford Taurus

This is classic Ford I drove around in Dallas before turning it in to get Sonata for long drive.

Hyundai Avante

This is the exact Elantra model which was a pretty good city car in Korea. Very easy to maneuver.

Are you bored??

I am back to this place after a long time. To be frank, I had forgotten that I used to write a blog which nobody missed anyways. But as usual, I wanted to do something new and here I am.

I was thinking about boredom. When does one get bored? I guess it is more to do with losing the child inside you. I was bored for a while and then here comes the month of Pottermania. Gautam reminded me of this and I started reading book 5 and book 6. We talked about it for long over dinner. And I felt I got my old days back. It feels great to be anticipating the 7th book in the series and just waiting for it and talking about it to friends. But a few months back, I was thinking that I had grown out of Potter and stuff.

I was reading this woman who paid $800 to be first in the queue to buy an iPhone. A few days back I would have called her crazy. But this is what it is all about. Standing in the queue from midnight for a book or a new gadget, this all makes you feel excited. And keeps you interested in things which happen around you. It keeps the child alive inside you. We tend to grow out of these things and call people mad and childish to act like this.

I remember my college days when I used to stay awake all night for a cricket match which did not start before 5 am. I used to be so excited and anxious about it. I was thinking a few days back that I have grown out of it. But again, now I feel like going back to those days again. I enjoyed Wimbledon final after a long time. And I am waiting for England tour to start with a lot of interest.

Perhaps it is not about growing up. It is more about shutting yourself into seriousness and day to day routine which makes the life boring. Discover the child in you. Try to enjoy the things and be part of the crowd. Life is so interesting.
